The 2nd Annual Women Talk Africa: Edmonton Edition

In honour of Black History Month, Women Talk is Celebrating

Canadian Women Of African Heritage!

An impactful event where our African Canadian heritage will stand proud and tall.

Women Talk created a safe space for women of different races to interact and share their stories. In the hope that by sharing our stories, we will realize that we might look different on the outside, but inside we're all the same. We invite all women to join us for this impactful evening filled with women that will share their extraordinary stories.

It was really great honor to share my own story among other phenominal women story tellers. It wasn't comfortable being up there but it was certainly worth it, owning my own story. The beauty of this whole experience was that we all left the event inspired by each other's stories and look forward to next year's 3rd annual.

Red Carpet | Inaugural Z.A.A. Canada Edition 2019

The Zimbabwe Achievers Awards (ZAA) is a global-leading, independent organisation that was founded in 2010 by Conrad Mwanza. The organisation recognizes, rewards and celebrates the successes and achievements of Zimbabweans living abroad, in industries or sectors that include business, art, sport, entertainment and music.

It was certainly a joyful moment to finally host the Z.A.A. in Canada. Our very own bubbly two-time Z.A.A. nominee, Amanda Nothando, had the pleasure of hosting the red carpet at the Awards ceremony. Click on the link below to watch all the glitz and glam of the guests who came through.

The 3rd Annual Miss Beauty of Africa Gala

It was a pleasure serving at the Miss Beauty of Africa gala along side the other panel of Judges. It's never an easy task but it I'm sure it was a fair conclusion at the end of the day. Besides, it's always a Gala worth serving at.

Beauty of Africa is a Non-Profit Organization collects school supplies such as pens and pencils from everywhere in the world to distribute these small stationary items to children in the poorest villages of Southern Africa whose caregivers cannot afford them. They raise funds to pay fees for these children who are deserving of an education but their parents cannot afford to send them to school. Their main focus is to educate girls in these villages in particular so that they have an equal chance in life and do not have to be forced into early marriages and/or bad labor in order to help support their poor families.

22nd Annual Harmony Brunch | Canadian Multicultural Education Foundation

It was a humbling honor being the Keynote Speaker at the 22nd Annual Harmony Brunch as we commemorated the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. You already know I'm all for diversity just as Canada also embraces diversity so having the honor to speak at this event was certainly a humbling moment and I'm too grateful for the opportunity.

The Canadian Multicultural Education Foundation (CMEF) was founded in 1990 by 10 citizens committed to supporting and strengthening multiculturalism in Canada.

I'M AN ORIGINAL CATCHPHRASE

There's no competition when you're doing what you're called to do. There's no growth without mastering the art of serving others while you walk in your purpose. I enjoy every moment that I get to serve, be it through hosting the Red Carpet, being an MC or being a Judge because I get to meet a lot of new people who will definitely teach me a thing or two at that brief moment.
